Athletes can have special vision needs. For athletes with myopia, they may be interested in CRT contact lenses. CRT contact lenses are made to be worn at night and then removed during the day. These lenses actually reshape the cornea at night so that the patient will not need to wear eyeglasses or contacts during the day. This can be very important for athletes who do not want to be impeded by having to wear glasses or contacts. For example, athletes who swim cannot easily wear contacts or glasses. Our sports vision eye doctor can also help you improve your sports vision skills such as visual memory or depth perception. Certain sports sunglasses may improve the patient’s athletic performance in specific lighting conditions. For example, if you are playing baseball on an overcast day certain tinted eyeglasses will improve your vision. If you would like to see our eye doctor for sports vision care in Maplewood, and are a Seton Hall University athlete, we hope you will contact us today for an appointment.
